Lots of kappa appear in Inaba of the WAHH. Here's the only example I could find with only five seconds of effort.

The kappas have a good taste in hats. Much better then the tengus' weird pillbox things.

So, those crazy 'sukis. I have an amusing image in my head of Toyohime stealing Tenshi's hat. She'll do anything to get her peach fix.

The one on the left is wearing shorts. That's kind of like variation.

Trees full of peaches on the Moon is not good enough for her. She has to go for the heavenly peach that tells Tenshi when she's about to possibly die perhaps.

Yeah, who says we're done with the Watatsukis? Besides, if we were to do a tangential leap, the best choice would be Eirin, since we brought her up so much earlier.

One thing I've wondered is, are there other lifeforms on the moon besides the lunarians and bunnies? No other animals? Or just not relevant enough to be brought forth yet?

Also, what exactly is their relationship with Kaguya, being princesses and all?

If anything, Kaguya and the Watatsukis were just nobility, as opposed to being members of the ruling class. They might have known each other through Eirin, but I doubt they are directly related.

The Moon is stated to be lifeless aside from the Lunarians and rabbits. Not even fish.

CILR says that there are no bugs.

SSIB says that there are no fish.

Aside from peach trees, no other fruit or vegetable is mentioned. They feed Reimu a "gourmet meal" but its not specified whats in it. Maybe they have Star Trek replicators and don't have to worry about growing crops and raising livestock. Maybe they get the bunnies to do it.

But I'm leaning towards replicators because they don't have fish in the ocean for the sole reason that it would be "impure." I can't imagine having cows and chickens around would be any better in their mind.

They're probably related. Royal families tend to be intertwined to some extent.

One chapter of Ci LR mentions that Lunarians can leave their windows open without fear of getting their privacy invaded by many irritating insects, because there are no insects on the moon.

BUT THEN HOW DO THE PEACH TREES GROW, HUH? WHAT ABOUT THE PEACH TREES?

OH MY GOD THEY EAT THE BUNNY GIRLS! Those monsters.

On less hysterical note, having fish exceting in your oceans is a great way to depurify them. Yeah.

The Watatsukis are probably Kaguya's distant cousins, or something. Personally, I think that 'Kaguya Houraisan' is a pseudonym, anyway.

How many lunarians are there anyways? There doesn't seem to be too many, maybe everyone is inbred and related on the moon!

As far as I know, the Lunarians have one city, the Moon Capital. Why they need a capital when they only have one city is a bit of a mystery.

Things that Lunarians are bad at: Naming cities.

And in the manner of damn elves, the Lunarian probably have very slow population growth. Plus, there's a good chance that many of the people from the original migration are still alive so its not like everyone is related.

Isn't having people shitting on the Moon a good way to depurify it as well?

Yep, there are male Lunarians. In fact, the leader of their society is a man. Tsukoyomi, I think.

Unless they send their excreta to the other side of the Moon. Which Toyohime has the power to do. Unlike us, they have a whole half planet that's completely empty to work with.

That's not what impurity means. It's extremely specific and well defined. It's not just "dirtiness" or whatever else they might happen to dislike.

It all stems from the same thing though. Dying represents impurity. You can't poop if you don't eat. And if something gets eaten, its dead. So there can't be any fish all eating plankton and each other and stuff. Which means no moon whales*

So I guess the Lunarians are vegetarians. Because, srsly, nobody cares if carrots die.

Yeah, it does look like the Lunarians are either vegetarians or eat the rabbits (which I doubt). They seem fine with growing food themselves.

Also, yeah, I can see Kaguya and the Watatsukis as distant cousins. I guess it depends on if the Watatsuki sisters and Kaguya were part of that initial migration, or were born on the moon. (I assume they were born on the moon.)
