Him calling Edward Edgar on purpose to annoy people amuses me.
Does he say something like "I know his name's Edward, I just don't care!"?

He doesn't. I asked him about in Patreon, he said he made the mistake once, decided to roll with it and keep doing it without addressing it.
[Review of The Doctor Who Film And The Night of the Doctor
I always drezz for the occasion such as this.
Mileena MadnessReview of Someone To Watch Over Me
As he says, quite some time has passed since he did a new Voyager review. His last one was Imperfection all the way back in July. I worry that his effort to keep up with Discovery as it comes will slow his other Star Trek series to a snail's pace.
to be fair he has said he doesn't really mind it...
since at this point, He's pretty much mined alot of the highs and lows of the other series
He's outright said he was lowering the pace of Star Trek reviews basically coz he's sort of run out of episodes who are really good or really bad, and most of what's left is the "meh" pile. So he does them more infrequently to avoid sounding bored or too repetitive.
Wow. That Justice League episode was intense. Chuck at the top of his game, as appropriate for the end of the season and one of the best DCAU episodes all around- Divided We Fall.
He still has Into Darkness coming up.
woohoo?
I wonder what he'll say on that.
A criticism leveled at Into Darkness was that it somehow was a more "militant" film.
The only good thing I can say about it is that Kirk and Co. beat both the villains who wanted to militarize Starfleet.
But that good moment is out weighted by the conspiracy plot (a Does This Remind You of Anything? written by a 9/11 truther) and the tiresome "Section 31/Starfleet wants to go to war" plot.
Chuck's mini-review was okay, but I look forward to the Christmas take down of the film.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48There you are Taira
Chuck finally looked at those Poor poor Bunnies
Yeah, but Chuck usually reviews the worst of the worst on Christmas (I think he is running out truly awful Star Trek episodes and has reviewed the worst from every major other franchise he has reviewed), Into Darkness, is not the worst of the worst, its not even close to the worst Star Trek film, its not a 0 out of 10. It's just a rather mediocre film bogged down by ripping off the Wrath of Khan scene by scene in some points. The worst I would give it is 3 out of 10 and the best I would give it is 6 out of 10, but personally, I can think I would score it 5 out of 10. Not the worst, but a bunch of the plot holes (the crew using Khan's blood to reverse death by the end, the site to site transport beam and the ripping off of an entire scene from Wrath of Khan) all hurts this film. They should not have used Khan this quickly in the film series. The weakest of the new films, but not even close to the worst film in the series.
It's the worst of the new film series, though.
I hate to say this, I bough the film Star Trek Beyond and it was...meh.
Into Darkness at least stood for something, even if it pissed me off.
Beyond? I could have been a Doctor SG 1/Babylon 5/any Sci-Fi channel episode. Not really Trek material.
It did put me off the Beasties Boys for a few weeksnote .
I like Into Darkness because it pissed off Chuck and Confused Matthew - the latter had a real beef with the movie.
Beyond was just paint by numbers "Sci-Fi" drek that's too dull to hate and too dull to surpass the 2009 film.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48I wouldn't say something pissing people off inherently makes it more valuable. Something being So OK, It's Average might not net it much attention, but means that it's just that — not worth anyone's vitriol. Besides, sometimes things are hated for a reason.
A lot of people like Star Trek: The Motion Picture, but Chuck didn't, and it's his show, so he gave it a negative review. If he chooses to make a full review of it, well, that's his choice.
Also, Star Trek Beyond is far from "average", at least as far as critical reception goes — it's the highest rated film from the new batch.
I liked Beyond. Quite a fun movie.
I have so many issues with Into Darkness that it is easily the worst reboot movie.
The fact that it is just a ripoff of my fav Star Trek novel, Dreadnaught!, but with the main character of that Novel being replaced by Khan and made 'bad' in a very questionable way.
Also the dumbing down of Kirk, changing from an actual competent captain in both the book and Star Trek II into a dumb action hero. And a host of other issues.
@ Eldritcho, its worst of the reboot films, but I would not rank it as being worse then say Star Trek V. If I were generous I would give it a 6, if I were unforgiving the lowest I would give it is a 3. Its certainly not a 0 out of 10, I think it has a few redeeming features (though I have not seen in 5 years), but the bad moments (the plot holes and the aping of Wrath of Khan) weighs it down.
Its the most disappointing Star Trek film IMO, I had some hype for this after Star Trek 09. This and Force Awakens makes me question how original J.J Abrams is, he often just seems to copy superior films.
As Chuck pointed out with Magic the Gathering cards: if people love or hate the franchise, at least they talk about it.
The genre is littered with franchises and works that are So Okay, It's Average.
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48@Eldritcho
Er... Star Trek: Beyond is actually the lowest rated of the new films, it's RottenTomatoes score is 85% with an average rating of 7/10 compared to 09's 94% with an average of 8.1/10 and Into Darkness' 85% with an average of 7.5/10, and it's Metacritic score is 68 compared to 09's 82 and Into Darkness's 72.
Well thats clearly bogus. I woul rate Beyond far above 2009 even.
(Though below First Contact and the good TOS movies)
