Oh, hey, Fable! I played Fable II on the Xbox when I was young, got as far as recruiting the Hero of Strength.
Alright, I'll skip ahead and take a gander at this.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Oh good, we're doing Fable. The franchise that decided to
- Directly challenge the Elder Scrolls franchise for dominance.
- Make a huge buzz about how their games would be such phenomenal open-world titles that people would renounce the Elder Scrolls forever.
- Develop games where you make armpit fart noises at people until those people like you enough to have babies with you.

In fairness, a big part of that was Peter Molyneux's typical overhyping to the point of Hype Backlash being inevitable.
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"I’ll always remember Fable for introducing a very large and fascinating world with tons of characters and a really iconic villain.
And then following it up by wiping all of that out and saying there are only like 4 important people and one important place now.
And then following it up by doing the industrial revolution but also there’s an evil monster from totally not the middle east.
And then following it up with a Kinect game about horse drawn buggies.
....I may not be a fan of the progression of Fable.
I liked playing Fable 2 and Fable 3. Honestly, how hard it is to get Fable 3 on a computer now...
Avatar SourceI found this genuinely interesting.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. How is Tedd's hair color mysterious? His father has blue hair and his "ugly" cousin, on his mother's side, is a redhead.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."People aren't crayons. Also blue isn't necessarily a "natural" hair color either.
The magic hair colors reminds me a bit in Please Don't Tell My Parents I've Got Henchmen where The Audit (think Batman crossed with the Clock King) states that her second favorite statistic is that "the demographics of hair color in people with super powers matches how non-powered people dye their hair", suggesting there's subconscious wish fulfillment at work.
It's comics like this that sometimes have me think that Shive is more interested in world-building than storytelling.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. This page is basically just discussing You Gotta Have Blue Hair.
My favorite part is Grace's inadvisable air-quoting. I 'd twice.
Also, Ellen's supposed to have green hair? I thought it was brown like Elliot's.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Didn't it turn green after she Awakened or something?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I think it was only shown in color once, but yeah, characters have off-handedly mentioned that Ellen has green hair now. As I recall, it's kinda pea soup green, which isn't exactly flattering.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It got green when Magus destroyed the dewitchery diamond.
You lost!Ellen would probably claim it's "dragon-scale" green.
I thought it was more of a mint colour?
Avatar SourceWell, that felt unnecessary, especially after seventeen years of deafening silence. Especially with Amanda's reaction to the hair color question, while those strips don't necessarily follow logic, it seems like if this is the case she should've known what the reader was talking about.
My posts make considerably more sense read in the voice of John Ratzenberger.Oh, yeah. I'd forgotten about that shift.
Probably because there's little visual difference between grayscale-for-light-brown and grayscale-for-pea-green. Maybe shouldn't make color-based plot points in a black-and-white comic.

In uninverse why would these be called "mysterious" hair colours? It's mysterious to us the audience but not the characters. In universe it's just how things work, that's just how genes work for people.
On that topic how do they even know what genes correlates to what colour? If a blonde Gene can appear as brunette how do they know they are not in fact reffering to the brunette Gene? Or how do they know Nanase being a red head (which isn't even that odd) is the oddity and not that it is what the gene actually means?
So in universe there is no reason to call them mysterious or to even know which ones are the oddity. This ignores the other question though.
Despite the characters hesitance to say it it's obvious that magic is partly to blame for this oddity. So how long has this been going on? Did a change in magic cause this, the last change happened during ancient Egypt (we see it happening and Pandora references it from her past life meaning one hasn't happened since then) so how could we have known each colours are wierd if it dates back to then? The Egyptians thought a lot of things were normal or wierd that today we don't think is wierd or normal.
Why dies magic even do this? Does this indicate people with unnatural hair colour are somehow with more magic? Or is it just a word effect like magic boobs. On that topic why does magic even cause magic boobs in the first place?
I don’t mind it so much. It’s just odd that this was set up as a plotline, when it’s really more of a Q&A.
“Why is Nanase’s hair suddenly all red?”
“Why do people have odd hair colors?”
Suddenly? Wasn’t it always red? She was introduced with red hair. Is that not her natural hair color?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. It was black for some period of time.
But yeah, this strip felt unnecessary to me as well. I was fond of the previous "explanation" that was simply "in this world, natural hair colors include more exotic ones".

...well, that is generally the best material Shive comes up with for NP. I might be slightly hopeful.
