Tengen Toppa Gurren Gao Gai Gar: it would basically go like this:
Dear Evil Guys: Just Bend over, clench your teeth and assume the postion: it will all be over soon.
I want to see Goku fight Cthulu.
I think that one speaks for itself.
Watching an episode of Futurama, it occurs to me that it should cross over with Avatar and...um...the robot should turn out to have an incredible natural talent for the...elemental manipulation system of that world. Yes.
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuInspired by this: Girl Genius / Legend Of Zelda.
I have visions of Ganon teaming up with The Other, and Link using one of Agatha's electro-swords to hijack a zeppelin.
A Supernatural / Doctor Who crossover would probably kill me from an overdose of concentrated awesome.
This remends me: crackiest crossover ever? HP Lovecraft meets Jeeves and Wooster. Go and Google "What Ho, Gods of the Abyss?" (Best Title EVER, by the way). I physically need to read this.
After just watching Speed Racer in the theater today I was struck by brilliance. A Speed Racer/ Transformers cross over. Car-fu and giant robots.

There's evidently an book based on this idea: Scream For Jeeves. (Like you, I've never read it and would like to, but it's rare and used copies are expensive..)
I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but dang it I want a Mario/Sonic crossover taking place in the actual game genre popularised by both characters. Which is neither sports nor fighting.
Oh, and made entirely by Nintendo. Sonic Team don't have a reputation for, well, competence anymore.
Aaaaaand Kefka vs the Joker. C'mon.
Both of those crossovers are silly. Sonic and Mario cannot compete in their classic genre, because they both function differently in said genre and there would very likely be favoritism towards the character from the production company (in this case, Mario and Nintendo). And I mean, come on, what would they do? A platformer is just a platformer, it's not like there's much story involved.
And Kefka vs. The Joker isn't fair, because Kefka has magic. Even if you take him from before he gained the supreme powers of the 3 goddess statues, he'd still be able to kill The Joker just by looking at him. Not a fair contest at all.
I think I'd like to see a Fire Emblem/Legend of Zelda crossover, even if only because it'd be neat to see how Link is rendered with FE stats. I doubt he sword proficiency would ever get above a C.

Unless we're talking Emperor Joker here*. Then it might actually swing to Joker's advantage though.
- A storyline where Mr. Mxzplzk(or whatever his name is) let the Joker borrow his powers to harass Superman. It went horribly, horribly wrong.

From a purely FE standpoint: Lord (sword, unmounted) -> Lord (sword+bow, unmounted) like Alm or Lyn. Good all-round stats, most likely to cap Speed and Skill. Hehe, he could promote from Young Link to Hero of Time. Obviously one personal weapon, the Master Sword.

They're not silly, they're awesome. So awesome, in fact, that reality would not likely be able to do either one justice. 'tis a pity.
Hah! Yes, reality would not be able to do justice an imagined crossover of fictional characters. And you actually need to use the word silly here?

Kefka vs anyone would be awesome. Square-Enix (and the FF fandom) doesn't give the guy nearly enough credit. No, it's always 'Sephiroth this and Sephiroth that.' Bastards.
I thought of this a while ago, and couldn't help but laugh: Jeeves and Wooster meet Indiana Jones. Watching the Jeeves and Wooster TV series a few hours after seeing the most recent Indiana Jones film puts some strange ideas into one's head.

Therefore, Kefka vs. Sephiroth would theoretically be awesome too. The fact that they're from the same genre of the same media helps.

Square-Enix loves doing things like this just to annoy me. The game looks awesome, but unfortunately, it also appears to be the only worthwhile game available on the PSP. As a person who only buys video game systems based on the software it can use, this has prevented me from buying a PSP.
https://www.facebook.com/emileunmedicatedanduncutKuja is confirmed for the game, so it seems reasonable to assume that at least the main villain and main hero of each major Final Fantasy will appear. Unless some kind of obscure bizarre copyright ownership issue appears.
Ooh, there's a thought. I'd love to see a crossover with Kefka and Kuja, if only for the dialogue. A psychotic omnicidal clown and a narcisistic poet with delusions of grandeur? That both wound up with planet-busting powers is just a bonus.
Ash takes his undead-killing skills to the masses:
Evil Dead 4: Dead by Dawn of the Dead
Chainsaws, shotguns, one-liners, that magnificent jawline...
The Sandman meets Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.
Just think about it.
Trigun and Pirates of the Carribean. I was trying to think of some other red-clad Badass Longcoats that might match Vash the Stampede, but I'm drawing a mental blank
Marvel and Discworld universes would also be an interesting place.
Pirates of the Caribbean and Torchwood
"Captain Jack!" "Yes?" "Yes?"
Ahh, found it.
