"Just Mechanicsburg things, my lady, tradition and all."
"You can reply to this Message!""What, you expected Our Lady Heterodyne to let something so small as death stop her?"
It's also confusing because that crowd going past the alleyway is clearly armed with serious weapons, like a mace. Unless those are special assassins. It seems unlikely that the public in general is going to try to murder their Heterodyne (or that the Heterodyne would allow that).
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."x4 Too late, already sold you merch, folks! Woop-woop-woop-woop!

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. Those glasses look a little cracked...
I wonder if falling for the Doom Bell will expose her as fake.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."
I'm absolutely certain it will, especially with one of the old hands like the granny chasing her.
"Why would I inflict myself on somebody else?"Surely Granny knows that the real Heterodyne is blonde so, yes. La professor is exposed. Now, how will Granny react?
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!I've been wondering the same thing, myself. Based off of what Carson said back in Volume 7, people really aren't going to be happy that they've been dealing with a fake Heterodyne. At the point, the only person that I can imagine them being angrier at would be Plumm - assuming that the Professoressa gets to tell all about what she saw in that warehouse.
Oh, they're already after him with drawn knives. [1] Panel Three.

In the end, the race goes not to the swift, nor the strong, but to those with good timing.

The book is not a lie.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. With the Castle involved, luck is probably less of a factor.
http://www.mansionofe.comOoh, and the Castle kept his promise, too!
All's well that ends well—with the professor getting cake.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!But the question remains: Did she publish her paper?
"We learn from history that we do not learn from history."Comic for Monday - yay, back to the main story, and with a recap of past events to boot!
"The island" is presumably going to turn out to be the same one where Monahan is hanging out with her rats, where Steelgarter was headed the last time we saw her.

But how is this plot supposed to work out with the real Agatha still out there? Even if they make the Professoressa unrecognizable, people will hardly think it's Agatha if Agatha is standing there asking what the fuck happened while she was away? Or is the plan to off Agatha too? 'cause that seems mighty tricky to pull off, and all that to sell a few extra T-shirts...
