I was very amused by Gaara's dance routine.

The new opening is pure gold. Seriously.

Now I won't be able to take any of the War episodes seriously.

Well we still have the Confining the Jinchuuriki Arc to do. I expect this opening to last until the beginning of the War.

Well yes, because before that point The only particularly silly thing was Bee dancing and that didn't surprise me for some reason. Kakashi skipping did and that's what made it so funny to me. Everything after that point was just icing on the cake.

Pfft..the zombies...heh This OP is pretty much has the exact opposite tone of the actual arc. Just makes it all the funnier.

I'm pretty sure the lead director went to the animation team and said "Look, we can't give away spoilers, and I know you guys like Hinata, but try not to shill her too much. And no more Sasuke nudity. And after the last couple, would it kill you to not be so dramatic?"

And then they looked at him, and said "yes boss, we'll get right on it."

And then they waited until an hour before the episode aired, finally sobered up, and put this together so they couldn't use anything instead. Then they turned it in, said it was exactly what he asked for, and attached a note that said:

Alternatively, they just watched Cromartie High School's opening because I was plugging it so much, and decided to bring that to Naruto.

I’m watching it now fort he 5th time and I simply can’t stop laughing. But the contrast between OP and the plot couldn’t be greater. Yeah, I imagine Madara threatening little Naruto and ripping the Kyuubi out of Kushina’s stomach after he finished his short dance session. And before Kushina’ says farewell to Naruto, we see the latter happily dancing. Lovely, just lovely.

Best explanation I've heard so far.

Naruto's running a the begining reminded me of Kotetsu for some reason... in fact more and more I'm starting to see Naruto as a young Kotetsu...

And if someone makes a gif of the konoha 11 dance scene, I will love them forever.

This is just... so bizarre. What the hell were they thinking? Hilarious though this is, I swear I don't ever want to see another fight handled like the fight with Pain.

I WANT to see another fight like episode 167. It is to this day the best fight ever animated.
