  • Hilarious in Hindsight: A Crack Pairing in the card game was Aleister the Invoker x Sky Striker Raye due to their archetypes synergizing with each other when used in the same deck. Coincidentally, Aleister (as his younger self, Crowley) is a major character of this manga's next arc after Raye's concluded.
  • Les Yay: Raye becomes obsessed with befriending Roze. She eventually succeeds, then when it looks like Raye will perform a Heroic Sacrifice, Roze begs her not to leave her alone. The Sky Striker arc ends with the two exploring the world together and looking like a couple.
  • Low-Tier Letdown: The cards based off the characters in the manga are this. In accordance with the typical Feelies policy for these kinds of spin-off material, many of the characters and equipment newly featured in the manga's rendition of the "Sky Striker" plotline were adapted into promotional cards. However, the unusual decision was made to make several new Main Deck monsters that gain incredibly limited value out of co-existing with the present "Sky Striker" archetype, and its Link Monsters are, while generically usable, difficult to use in "Sky Striker" and have limited benefit in their own archetype, making them more suited for other decks. This has largely drawn the ire of "Sky Striker" players who have lamented the fact that Konami is overselling the archetype's popularity to the point where they have received a whole wave of support that essentially amounts to a pile of unplayable cardboard and a few Link Monsters that have found better homes in better decks.
  • Memetic Mutation: "Raye is 13." Explanation
  • So Okay, It's Average: The general consensus on the "Sky Striker" arc. Most will not tell you that it's awful per se, but the plot deviates heavily from the original story outline and adds a bunch of additional material and characters that, while having good potential, are ultimately quite barebones and rushed.
