- Crosses the Line Twice: Dukey's attempt to kill himself in the 2008 version is this, as it starts off with his hysterical crying being mistaken for a "Wazzup" by the friend in Iraq, and it continues to be used as it cuts to him standing up on his chair. The next cut of him after that shows him in the middle of the attempt with his choking/gurgling being used for the cut between the friends. The kicker is that none of them seem to realize what Dukey is doing to himself, not even when they should have heard him suddenly going from crying to strangulation, and they seem unfazed by hearing an audible crash when whatever Dukey tried to hang himself from broke. Since Dukey survives, it's much easier to see the comedic side of this.
- Memetic Mutation: Caused a massive one upon airing, naturally. Even long before social media came to exist.
- Parody Displacement: In France, "Wazzup" became memetic in the very early Turn of the Millennium, though only through its parody in Scary Movie, since the Budweiser ad never aired there.
