  • Awesome Music: The catchy theme song and its instrumental version played in the credits are probably the few things that people remember about this series.
  • So Okay, It's Average: It's generally seen as a far cry from bad, but compared to the shows it was up against at the time on both its channel (Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Superman: The Animated Series, and the countless airing of Looney Tunes), and others, as well as later African-American centered cartoon series like The Proud Family (which felt less like a kid's show and more of a genuine family cartoon), it's not very memorable. It has funny moments, but none of the humor is laugh out loud funny. The fact that it's just a animated autobiography doesn't help.
  • Spiritual Successor: To Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids showing a similar group of young African-American misfits living in a 1990's world. whereas Fat Albert's gang had dealt with the 1970's/1980's.
