YMMV / Wallace & Gromit in Project Zoo

Go To

  • Heartwarming Moments: The whole premise of Project Zoo is Wallace and Gromit saving baby animals that have been kidnapped by Feathers McGraw in order to force the adult animals into working for him.
    • In the third level, two of the three baby gorillas will hug the duo once rescued.
  • Narm: The boxart of the game tries so hard to seem dark and edgy that it spirals right back around to being amusing, and can easily be compared to Shadow the Hedgehog in terms of edginess. Funnier still, the game isn't half as edgy as the coverart would suggest.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The drone music inside the South American temple sounds like something mixed from Minecraft ambient sound. Luckily, it can be heard only once.
    • During the game, Gromit can be knocked out by a variety of brutal ways, common obstales are the botommles cliffs, death traps, bloodthirsty robots. Seeing our beloved dog genius sinking in lava, getting crushed, getting shot by the guards in one level can be upsetting for some. While Wallace mostly stays in a safe spot, he can meet his end too in the vehicle levels.
    • This surprisingly creepy pre-release trailer.
  • That One Puzzle: The Volcano has one particularly show stopping puzzle for any fan who played the game as a kid. The puzzle in question requires you to use the Porridge Gun to shoot at three buttons in order to generate platforms. However, the buttons are out of order and the platforms move quickly, ensuring that you'll need to think fast in order to cross the lava. The final level uses a similar setup for a puzzle where you have to save Archie from being frozen, though its somewhat easier.
  • That One Sidequest: Trying to get all the coins in the Gamecube version of Project Zoo? If you are, then the first Lava World bonus stage will have you curling up in the fetal position and whimpering. Gromit has to climb a series of platforms while avoiding rolling barrels thrown by a gorilla. The problem? The game contains a glitch where most of the barrels are invisible to the player. Barrels that result in instant death if touched. Oh, and did we mention you're on a time limit? Getting the coins from this level requires truly psychic guesswork and timing. Your reward? Short clips from "The Wrong Trousers" and a single preview from the 'Cracking Contraptions' series.
