"Triggered" has some elements that are reminiscent of heavy metal music, fitting for someone like Flippy, whose Ax-Crazy split personality is still trapped in the war and sees a person like Boyfriend as an enemy. Similarly, this brings to mind "Ugh" from the vanilla game.
"Slaughter" starts out as a menacing send off to the absolutely intense "Triggered", but soon turns into a somber dubstep-orchestral ensemble as it becomes clear that Flippy isn't a genuine psychopath in that he has a very violent split personality.
Breather Level: "Fallout" is a somber, slower song that immediately follows the tense and quick-paced "Overkill".
With fans of VS Flippy. Many fans of VS Flippy accused Flipped Out of ripping it off. The fact that some fans consider one mod better than the other doesn't help matters, either. Ironically, the dev teams of both mods are actually on good terms with each other.
With fans of Happy Tree Funkers, due to what some fans of this mod perceive as some of keno9988ii's less-than-pleasurable actions, including allegations of xenophobia and racism. Unlike with VS Flippy’s dev team, however, the dev teams behind Flipped Out and Happy Tree Funkers prefer not to associate with each other.
The second song's somber tone, which sells the fact that Flippy isn't a constant genuine psychopath; just a traumatized war veteran having an extremely violent psychotic episode due to his PTSD linking microphone feedback with the sound of a fighter jet.
"Fallout", the final song of the main week in the dev build, is also a depressing song, as it's heavily implied that Flippy is fighting his internal battle. What sells this home is the sprites during the song: Flippy is trapped inside of his body while trying his best to prevent Fliqpy from killing Boyfriend and Girlfriend. He can only do so much to stop the deaths of innocent people.
That One Level: At three and a half minutes long with a BPM of 280, "Overkill", the third song of the dev build, is one of the longest and fastest songs in FNF mod history. The fast scrolling speed doesn't help either, as with the amount of notes being thrown at you from Fliqpy. The song abruptly ends at around the two minute mark, making the player think it's all over... until the song picks up again a few seconds later, throwing many players off their game.
