• Alternate Character Interpretation: The members of Evillious Net (aside from its head, Allen,) can get this due to it not being explained how they joined the organization. Do they take part in Allen's "game" just so they can get rewards for winning, or do they genuinely want to limit the chaos that the "game" causes and aren't in a position to prevent it happening anyway? This applies most strongly to Seiryuu and Atsuki, who spend most of their time trying to kill the murderous bear and fix the broken locks respectively, but are also heavily rewarded by Allen for doing so.
• Awesome Art: The illustrations by Oguchi, both well rendered and perfectly conveying the atmosphere of the story. Particular praise goes to the cover and cast illustration.
• Awesome Music: "Unlock Blackbox", the instrumental piece used in the trailer. The song in its entirety was released for free download with purchases of the novel (although only for those in Japan).
• Paranoia Fuel: The most helpful characters in the story turned out to be working for Evillious Net. Whether or not this makes them bad people, it's a creepy thought that you might not even be able to trust your own coworkers, or classmates, to not be in on whatever horrible thing is happening.
