YMMV / Unleash the Light

  • Game-Breaker: Peridot equipped with the Lucky Star Badge (Lucky hits have a chance to restore 1 star point) and the Shamrock Badge (Increases luck by 95%, but reduces defense by 50%) will allow you to win almost every combat encounter in a single turn, due to her Ferrokinesis attack having up to 30 low-damage shots that increase the possibility of earning stars, allowing you to spam Ferrokinesis until even the final boss dies before they can make a move.
  • Good Bad Bugs: Amethyst's Show-Off skill makes one of her moves free whenever the Teamwork Bar fills up, once per battle. However, there's a glitch where it's possible for this move to be permanently made free, so if it's one of her strongest attacks, you're free to spam it on your enemies.
  • Sequel Difficulty Spike: The first boss of this game has far more powerful attacks than the first boss in Save the Light; it's not uncommon for at least one member of your party to be poofed by the time you defeat the boss.
  • That One Boss: The fight against the copies of the Crystal Gems. Like in the original game, the bosses can heal, have Status Infliction Attacks, and the copy of Amethyst can hit your entire party, though they don't start off especially strong. That is because every time you kill one of the copies, the rest get healed along with getting a buff to their stats. Killing just one of them causes a big spike in difficulty, the stat buffs mean the copies of Pearl and Garnet can inflict massive amounts of damage, the latter being able to potentially KO characters who launch close range moves via her counterattacks, and the copy of Amethyst inflicting heavy damage to your entire party. When the Amethyst copy gets the Flaming Gauntlet buff, she can burn your entire team as well, and it stacks.
