• Unintentionally Sympathetic: While the ending of Duncan's character arc was intended to be Played for Laughs, Duncan in this episode could be considered this instead. Courtney and Gwen both hate his guts, no one aside from Zoey takes his geniune concerns about Mal seriously, his former reputation is in ruins, no one feels sympathy for his imprisonment, and his exclusive clip implies that he was raped in prison. Even if you thought Duncan was a Karma Houdini prior to All-Stars, it is undeniable that his punishment and everything that came with it was overkill.
