• Hilarious in Hindsight: In a Black Comedy sort of way, if not a Harsher in Hindsight outright. The Man With the Plan has an attractive blonde nurse to care for him. He says that she is a terrible nurse, but he keeps her around because, in his words, "even though I can't feel it, I know I get erections in her presence." Said nurse is played by Jenny McCarthy, who would later become infamous for being a promoter of the anti-vaccine movement. Looks like she would not be very good in the medical field, indeed.
• Nightmare Fuel: Buckwheats which is being killed by having a gun fired up your ass and dying in excruciating pain from the wound.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: The entire romance plot can be edited out of the movie with no effect at all on the story. This has, in fact, been done by some file-sharers. They simply removed every scene with the woman in it. The movie is reportedly none the worse for wear.
