• Special Effect Failure: The de-res effect depended on the contestant leaving their spot in the window of time between the graphics overtaking the screen and fading back to the shot of their now-unmanned microphone. One contestant walked off immediately after they lost, the camera clearly following them as they left the stage, but they still went through the motions of doing the visual graphics and cutting back to the empty space.
• Spiritual Successor: To Starcade, debuting immediately after it ended. It was made by the same production team, and the bonus round was played very similarly, for the same kind of prizes.
