• Designated Hero: Senpai has pretty much zero redeeming qualities, being an obsessive unhygienic stalker fixated on inserting himself in every moment of Otome's life despite barely knowing her. In his pursuit of her, he also resorts to illegal methods such as spyware to track her movements, which he criticizes the Director for building but uses himself. At most he gets a little self-aware of his own perversion towards the end, but we never see any sign of him becoming better first before he's rewarded with Otome.
• Strangled by the Red String: Otome and Senpai end up getting together, even though at most she knows him as a peer who keeps showing up in her life and exhibits perverted behaviors like exposing himself in front of her, which she punches him in the face for. The only flimsy reason she's given to approach him is that his recurring appearances are "fate", even though this is blatantly untrue since he's been stalking her.
