YMMV / The New Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo Show

• Awesome Moments: Despite being, well, The Scrappy, Scrappy Doo still has such moments. Undeniably awesome is when he and the other three are trapped in a crumbling tree house as a result of an artificial stampede, and he doesn't hesitate to use his super strength to pick up the other three and rush them out of there, all at once.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • "No thanks, Masked Manx" shows Shaggy and Daphne dancing together. Both of them look very happy.
  • And later, from the same episode, when the gorilla attacks and Scooby goes missing in the commotion, Scrappy takes to helping Shaggy get around in his clunky suit of armor by pushing/carrying him. It's as funny as it is sweet.
  • The gang rallying around Scrappy (who is clearly the most enthusiastic player) in "Wizards and Warlocks".
• Fridge Horror: Scrappy's connection to his grandparents is so utterly non-existant that you would never have guessed that they were related unless via the facts that Scooby's his uncle and they're Scooby's parents. Then we learn in Pup that Mumsy and Da-Da are actually very concerned with family heritage (with passing down fancy heirloom)-and that we don't know who Scrappy's dad is, or where Ruby is at these gatherings, and that before Scrappy lived with Scooby he was in a shady, rundown neighborhood with no supervision. Suddenly some very unfortunate implications emerge concerning their possible attitude towards Scrappy. Normally Scrappy is extremely affectionate with others, but he completely keeps his distance when the parents lavish affection on other family members, implying he's been taught that granny and gramps don't want to talk to him for some reason. Scooby continues to adore both Scrappy and his parents, implying that to keep the peace he's been kept in the dark about this.
