YMMV / The Lost Saucer

  • Alternate Company Equivalent: Time travelling spaceship that seems bigger on the inside than on the outside: check. Bumbling, incompetent aliens that can't steer the ship: check. Human travelling companions trying to get back home: check. Impossible to do because the time navigation mechanism is broken: check. Circular control room with central console: check. This seems very familiar now, but at the time, most Americans hadn't yet heard of the Uber example as it had yet to make its way across the Atlantic. So they probably didn't notice at the time.
    • Also, at that time this show was made, the Uber example show was in an era during which it had temporarily left its famous tropes for more Earthbound stories (the so-called UNIT years). So even visiting Americans who might have happened to have seen those episodes would probably not have made any meaningful connection.
  • Seasonal Rot: When one considers that most of Sid and Marty Krofft Productions fall into something of a "Krofft Kanon" umbrella known as "The World of Sid & Marty Krofft", this is (while still disputable) one of the Kroffts' lesser-known and less successful series... to the extent that it isn't actually mentioned on their page on this site at all.
