YMMV / The Inquisitor Cycle

• Narm Charm: The whole series is so over the top Dark Fantasy, it's very hard to take it serious... but when taken as Black Comedy instead, it comes all the way around as amusing.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: In a world where Jesus' main tenets of Forgiveness, Mercy, and Turn the Other Cheek have been turned into "no mercy" and "suffer not the non-believer to live", resulting in Christianity becoming an outright Religion of Evil has turned the world into a very bleak place indeed. That our protagonist is a zealous adherent of said religion, and there are very few sympathetic characters overall (and even fewer who aren't killed by the protagonist in short order) doesn't help matters.
