• Audience-Alienating Ending: Many fans of Wadjet Eye Games turned against this one for its ending, where your character is played like a fiddle by the villains, unleashes an evil deity, and is left a convicted murderer in an insane asylum while the villains get everything they wanted. For many, the main problem with the ending isn't even the fact that its a Downer Ending, since in hindsight that's to be expected for a story with such heavy Lovecraftian elements. No, the main problem is that the ending and how it plays out relies entirely on Thomisina acting like a complete idiot and ignoring all common sense and sanity to get the exact outcome the villains wanted.
