- Adaptation Displacement: Although both shows are relatively obscure to all but the most devoted Game Show fans/collectors, The Challengers is probably more well-known than The Who, What, or Where Game due to coming out both in the era of home video recorders and at the time when broadcasters pretty much ceased wiping episodes after broadcast.

- Retroactive Recognition: Sir Joseph Conran is played by Bill Owen, who would later be best known for playing Compo Simmonite in Last of the Summer Wine.
