- Awesome Music: The music totally outclasses the script, and the film really doesn't even use that much of the Earth, Wind & Fire album. Thankfully, "Shining Star" is prominently featured, and "That's the Way of the World" becomes the film's poignant recurring theme.
- Ear Worm: The soundtrack, of course. And in a Stylistic Suck way, The Pages' corny "Joy, Joy, Joy" song. In fact, the film is a rare depiction of how Ear Worms are created, with Coleman deploying orchestras and choruses to sweeten the sound as much as possible.
