  • In this story, Diamond has an aunt who was born Spoiled Rich and became Spoiled Rotten by marriage. In canon, Spoiled Rich is the name of Diamond's mother and her birth name was Spoiled Milk, meaning her options for her married name were "Spoiled Rich" or "Filthy Milk".
  • Also, the ponies doing a Meaningful Rename to fit with their cutie marks or a personal preference is pretty much confirmed as canon in 'The Perfect Pear', with the Apple's siblings' mother being originally called Pear Butter, and then renamed into Buttercup, after her then friend and later husband's Affectionate Nickname for her. The same episode confirms a similar change for Mrs Cake, her birth name being Chiffon Swirl.
• Nightmare Fuel: Checker Monarch once again. Despite no actual screentime, the mare is so chilling that even a split second Imagine Spot manages to be terrifying.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Stated to basically be the story's explicit goal for Diamond by Word of God.
