  • Ass Pull: The reveal that Ray was actually Rachel for the majority of the movie has been criticized for being evocative of other films with Split Personality Twist Endings, with the added bonus of being executed with no Foreshadowing whatsoever. It really didn't help that the movie also shared a screenwriter in Gregg Hurwitz, who also wrote The Book of Henry, which was similarly criticized for its handling of plot twists. With many calling the film a source of cliches and wasted potential, it's little wonder why critics tore this film to shreds.
  • Awesome Music: Regardless of the film's quality, many agreed that the remix of "Sweet Child O' Mine" used in the trailer was epic, going as so far being the only good thing about it.
  • Broken Base: Many critics and audiences alike have been split on the plot twist near the end of the movie. Some felt that Ray was actually Rachel this time was a good feminist twist and a showcase for Isabela Merced's acting abilities, while others ironically felt there was little-to-no build-up and it was a waste of Jason Momoa's talents.
  • Took the Bad Film Seriously: Despite the negative reviews, it was clear that both Jason Momoa and Isabela Merced deserve all the praise with having to work with the material they were given.
