YMMV / Supernatural S 15 E 19 Inherit The Earth

• Broken Base: May fans complained about the treatment of Michael and Adam, since many liked their very unique dynamic in "Our Father, Who Aren't in Heaven" and how that episode finally showed Michael realising that Chuck didn't actually care about him while Adam had a surprisingly positive parting with the Winchesters. This episode has Adam killed again along with the rest of humanity while Michael ends up betraying the Winchesters (not knowing it was part of their plan for him to do so) only for Chuck to kill him.
• Catharsis Factor: The Winchesters outsmarting Chuck, Lucifer, and Michael, resulting in Lucifer's final death at Michael's hands (though Michael's death may not be cathartic) and Chuck having his power taken from him by Jack, who he had murdered in the previous season's finale, reducing him to a pathetic man who the brothers and Jack simply leave to live a miserable life as a nobody. After how many dogs and event horizons Chuck and Lucifer kicked and crossed, this was immensely satisfying to fans.
• Tear Jerker: Jack's goodbye to Sam and Dean. While Sam is more accepting, Dean seems to not to take it well a bit but ultimately accepts it. Can't say the same for most of the audience though.
• Memetic Mutation: "Was the dog gay too???" ^Explanation After the infamous Bury Your Gays treatment given to Cas in the previous episode, the scene where Chuck snaps the dog out of existence went viral on Tumblr due to people joking that the dog also died because it was gay.
