YMMV / SpongeBob SquarePants S 3 E 14 "Ugh"

• Accidental Aesop: The future may be built on the past, but don't dwell on the past; look to the future.
• Broken Base: As with the other season 3 specials, this episode's reception is a bit divided among fans. It's agreed that the Patchy segments are pretty funny, but the SpongeBob (or rather SpongeGar) bits are contested (the inverse of the response to most other specials). The pacing and plot are very slow, with little happening and scenes being given unnecessary Padding. The episode's humor is entirely visual gags; the fanbase is split between those who find them funny and those who feel they aren't frequent enough to justify the episode's runtime.
• Memetic Mutation: The prehistoric version of Mr. Krabs being non-anthropomorphic crabs who just scuttle around muttering "money money money" over and over before getting killed and eaten by SpongeGar and Patar spawned a trend of videos of real life crabs being cooked by humans or eaten by other sea creatures with the audio dubbed by someone doing a Mr. Krabs impression saying "money money money..." followed by hysterical screaming.
