  • The archetypal, if deconstructed depiction of the Split Personality trope. Since mental disorders have become less and less stigmatized, Vicerre’s character would require careful writing in modern times.

Shaved Ice provides examples of:

• Viewer Pronunciation Confusion: As revealed in the chapter "Oneiros", the name "Vicerre" is intended to be pronounced with the Italian 'C', rather than a hard or soft 'C'. Most readers ignore this, however.

Cherry Ice provides examples of:

• Continuity Lock-Out: Cherry Ice often makes allusions to events that occurred in Spaghetti Ice. This wouldn't be bad... except Spaghetti Ice is lost media. Shaved Ice was originally written as an attempt to summarize the gist of Spaghetti Ice before becoming its own Alternate Universe, further complicating the 'verse's continuity.
