  • The series was billed as being the newest adventure to be set after the events of the original classic game quadrology, and was a 3-part story that was left unconcluded after the second chapter. Sound familiar?
  • Amy going from a Damsel in Distress, only to be promoted to be working alongside the boys in a new adventure set in the Classic Era, becomes this with the release of Sonic Superstars, with this game being the first time her classic counterpart would be playable in a mainline game, outside the Sonic Origins Compilation Re-release.
