YMMV / Smallville S 05 E 09 Lexmas

• Fridge Horror: Lex chooses the dark path because Dream!Lana dies due to Dream!Lionel refusing to help her because Lex dropped out of the race for Kansas State Senator. In a previous episode, "Splinter," Lionel confesses he didn't want Lex to win the election. In other words, Lionel may well have not disowned Lex if he had gone down the good path. How much evil, including Lionel's murder in Season 7's "Descent", would have been avoided if Lionel had been honest with Lex? We could well have seen the heroic Lex who's Clark's best friend from Injustice: Gods Among Us without the corresponding evil Clark. Poor Communication Kills indeed.
