- Values Dissonance: There are two racist gags. One character is a blackfaced hired hand. Also, while running around looking for a wife, Buster Keaton is about to ask a woman, but then immediately changes his mind once he realizes she's black (and again yet another time, when he realizes she's Jewish, although that woman just shrugged in response to him).
