  • Awesome Music:
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • The Man Behind the Man in Episodes 1 and 2 of the first series is a Right-Wing Militia Fanatic. Yujiro Ishihara's older brother, Shintaro, formerly Governor of Tokyo from 1999 to 2012, was a noted ultraright wing conservative supporter.
    • The same episodes also feature a giant armored vehicle that rampages across Tokyo, commanded by a duo of mercenaries and a corrupt US Army soldier. In 1995, ex-US Army soldier Shawn Nelson would hijack an M60 Patton tank from a National Guard armory and use it to cause mayhem in San Diego.
    • Episode 17 of Part III has the Daimon Force deal with a gas weapon. The infamous 1995 Tokyo subway gas attack shows What Could Have Been had the Force failed in their mission, albeit on a smaller scale.
    • Episode 23, Part III features an attempted terrorist missile strike in Japanese waters. Considering how close Japan is to North Korea, this is a very real threat that may happen if something goes wrong with the latter's missiles.
    • Episodes 32 and 33 of Part III involve the Daimon Force searching for a homemade nuclear bomb in Sendai. Come 2011 and Japan would face its own domestic nuclear crisis with the Fukushima Daiichi disaster.note
    • Episode 47 of Part III features an up-armored dump truck with additional armor plates as the vehicle for the episodes's criminals. In 2004, welder and businessman Marvin Heeymeyer would create a customized, up-armored bulldozer (or "killdozer" as it was called in the aftermath) in a vehicular rampage in Granby, Colorado..
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In the New Year's special of Part III, Shintaro Katsu, who made a name for himself as Zatoichi, plays magician Jimmy Togo, a suspect in a gold bullion robbery that the Daimon Force is assigned to investigate. Hatomura is sent to spy on him, but Jimmy holds him at gunpoint. Hatmoura's actor, Hiroshi Tachi, would later play another icon of Japanese media, Golgo 13, who goes under the cover name Duke Togo.
  • Special Effects Failure:
