- Broken Base: A frequent argument among the fanbase is who and who doesn't deserve the Penance Stare. Among the most debated persons are Victoria and Carol. It has gotten to the point that TheStrangerOfNowhere has barred such discussion on the Space Battles thread.
- Catharsis Factor: Oh yes, very much so. Worm has no shortage of morally bankrupt characters and Asshole Victims in general, so seeing the Ghost Riders in the same setting doling out punishment, via with hellfire or the good old Penance Stare, it's always a joy to see. This also applies to the Saints and Sinners 2077 side-story, where Night City is Brockton Bay but a million times worse and is filled to the brim with all manner of scum, from Corrupt Corporate Executives to regular street gangbangers.
- Unexpected Character:
- T'Challa being Ghost Panther in Saints and Sinners came as a great surprise to readers, but not an unwelcome one.
- Similarly, no one expected to see David Martinez added to the ranks of the Spirits of Vengeance, much less for his story to be canon to the main one.
- Nobody expected With A Vengeance 3 to end with the appearance of Blade rescuing Taylor.
