• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Mr. Salisbury is played by Brian Wilde, who would later be best known for playing Mr. Barrowclough in Porridge and Foggy Dewhirst in Last of the Summer Wine.
  • The Honourable Tarquin from episode 3 is played by Richard O'Sullivan, who would later be best known for playing Robin Tripp in Man About the House.
  • Millie from episode 4 is played by Jo Rowbottom, who would later be best known for playing Betty Jones in Romany Jones.
• Spiritual Successor: There was a later series in The '80s also called Room at the Bottom. This too followed the people who worked out of the bottom floor of an office building who also were looked down upon by the higher-ups.
