- Enjoy the Story, Skip the Game: The story is generally considered to be one of the game's strong points. Gameplay, on the other hand, is a bit of a slog, especially if combat animations are on.
- Never Live It Down: The game is mostly known for its incredibly ugly graphics, to the point where it's not uncommon for people to assume that the rest of the game is on a similar level of quality.
- So Okay, It's Average: Seems to be the consensus among people who've played it. While no one unironically defends the graphics, nothing else about the game is considered to be particularly offensive for a Strategy RPG of the era.
