• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Did Rick sabotage Morty's date on purpose by putting him on wine duty? On one hand, he was pretty pissed about Morty (accidentally) incurring Mr. Nimbus' wrath and generally has done similar things before. On the other hand, it's hard to tell if he expected Morty to end up causing as much trouble with the wine as he ended up doing, especially considering he specifically confirmed to Morty that the world on the other end of the portal runs on Narnia Time.
  • The general consensus seems to be that when Jessica says they (she and Morty) missed their shot but there will be other shots, that means Morty and Jessica have a chance in the future. But a simpler explanation is that she is merely saying that she and Morty will have shots with other people, the ol' "plenty of fish in the sea" saying. Not even two episodes later, Morty gets into a serious relationship with another woman.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The appearance of the Time Bird. Upon Adam's death, he is sent forward through time to the end of existence where he meets the Time Bird, perched on a tree, before it summarily and pitilessly sends him back through time again to die. No real explanation is given for this random sequence or what the true nature of the Time Bird is, if there even is any in the first place. Then again, such a bizarre and random event wouldn't necessarily not be considered par for the course with the rest of this series.
  • It is possible the bird is part of Adam's species' culture, or maybe even some intrinsic part of how his world was created and functions. Not that it makes it any clearer for the audience either way.
• Catharsis Factor: After getting away with countless atrocities, it was immensely satisfying seeing Rick getting his ass kicked by Mr. Nimbus before being arrested. Doubly so when he ended up getting his ass kicked in the other world and needed the help of Mr. Nimbus to even survive.
• Genius Bonus: When the police arrive to arrest Mr. Nimbus, they shout "Freeze!", which is followed by Nimbus ordering them to fight, fuck, and flee, in that order. Then they go inside to eat dinner. This is a combination of two groups of "four F's": the "four F's of evolution (feed, fight, fuck, flee) and "four F's of trauma responses" (freeze, fight, fawn, flee).
• Squick: Mr. Nimbus'... package moving around when he thrusts his pelvis, combined with occasional sloshing sound effects, can be disturbing.
