YMMV / Red Dwarf Season I "Future Echoes"

• Angst? What Angst?: Lister doesn't seem too broken up about the fact that his future son does a horrible death instead of him. (Notably, "Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers" changes it so it turns out to have been his future grandson instead.)
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Rimmer tells Lister that he "Can't whack Death on the head." Later on, however, we find out that you can kick Death in the groin.
  • It's already funny that Future Echo Lister doesn't tell Rimmer what the future holds for him, but when you get though the series and Rimmer goes off to become the new Ace Rimmer (plus all the other ridiculous things that happen to and are caused by Rimmer through the entire series) it makes Lister's reaction a lot more understandable.
