This turned out to not be true, as since its opening, the attraction has attracted very solid reception from the general public and remains popular to this day. This may be related to Universal opening Fast & Furious: Supercharged a year later, which received extremely negative reviews and rarely saw guests by comparison.
• Critical Dissonance: The attraction has attracted mixed-to-negative responses from theme park enthusiasts, but conversely is quite popular with the park's everyday visitors, as it receives high scores on guest satisfaction surveys.
• Just Here for Godzilla: While many of the early reviews of this ride have been mixed, nearly everyone has praised the queue experience that consists of a detailed replica of the famous NBC Studios at Rockefeller Plaza that includes props from every era of The Tonight Show, a live barbershop quartet, and interactive games and say that it alone makes it worth checking the ride out. (The fact that it's one of the few places in the park to have comfy seating, air conditioning, and USB charging stations also helps.)
• Memetic Mutation: The ride is frequently referred to online (mostly by detractors) by the epiphet "Race War Starring Jimmy Fallon" after an edited version◊ of the marquee sign became popular online.
