YMMV / Mystery Science Theater 3000 S06 E21: The Beast of Yucca Flats

• Harsher in Hindsight: Some of the riffs in Progress Island U.S.A. implying how broken down and/or primitive Puerto Rico might be (to ludicrous effect) might now give off this vibe post-Hurricane Maria, especially given how poorly the federal government's response went.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The name of Crow's Film Anti-Preservation Society or F.A.P.S. This was several years before the term "fapping" was coined.
• Padding:
  • The reason this episode contains two shorts instead of one or none: The feature presentation was so short (54 minutes). Luckily, one of the shorts (Progress Island U.S.A.) is one of the funniest in the series, and Money Talks isn't half bad either.
  • The film itself might have been even shorter without several long, long scenes of cars driving places and the like. ("This could be Coleman Francis's very best car-approaching sequence ever.")
