• Fan Nickname: Fans have started calling Snails "Zenyatta" (from Overwatch) since he used a zen meditation pose during buckball practice.
• Memetic Mutation: Portraying Snails as Zenyetta from Overwatch, particularly after the shots of Snails levitating the ring of baskets around him while in a zen-like pose.
• Older Than They Think: The comics portrayed Snails as a Genius Ditz with the Don't You Forget About Us arc. That happened before this episode aired.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Many fans were blown away by Snails being made into a likeable and useful Genius Ditz without making any changes to his established personality.
• He Really Can Act: Andrea Libman gets massive honor for performing Fluttershy's speech about them not playing Buckball anymore, and Pinkie Pie running away crying.
• Special Effect Failure: The scene of Applejack and Rainbow Dash walking in the train was apparently an experiment in 3D flash animation. It does not work very well due to the 2D nature of the show, especially on the seat railings at the bottom.
