- Difficulty Spike: Day 10. Once this day is reached, a new kind of hunter appears: the D-1000- A juggernaut that shoots three times a cycle, cannot be outrun, and can take a lot of damage. In addition to this, Hunter waves will become much more common and numerous, the ship will begin to fall apart much more rapidly than before, and the length of the trip will make resources like food and oxygen scarce without conducting any planetary explorations. The difficulty continues to ramp up every 5 days - most ships do not manage to even reach Day 15, let alone Day 20.
- Fridge Brilliance: Why are so many of the things the game tells you to do so blatantly wrong? Well, the game's administrators are known as the SDF, the same interstellar police force that is infected by the Mush and is sending all those hunters after the Daedalus.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Hua is often mistaken for being male.
