• Memetic Badass: Go to any Mitski music video on Youtube - there will be at least half a dozen comments claiming that Mitski is capable of godlike feats, including inventing the concept of music, creating all life on Earth or being actually able to blow up the planet like in the video for "The Only Heartbreaker."
• Memetic Mutation: Mitski is the last Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character. ^Explanation Her long-awaited comeback single "Working for the Knife" was released October 5th, 2021 at 4 PM, the exact same date and time of the reveal of Ultimate's last DLC character, making fans of both joke that the two events were somehow connected. The memes kept going once the character was revealed to be Sora from Kingdom Hearts, a series featuring creatures called "Nobodies", just like Mitski's hit song "Nobody".
• Tear Jerker: "Because Dreaming Costs Money, My Dear". The title alone is enough to make a person sad. If it doesn't work, listen to the actual song. "Last Words of a Shooting Star" also counts. As does "Class of 2013", "I Bet on Losing Dogs", "Nobody"... okay, MANY of Mitski's songs count.
