• Creator Backlash: For some time the channel actually scripted their videos. Retrospectively, though, the descriptions have marked these as "failed [experiments] in writing three-person commentary videos for people who can't act", and Jude openly made fun of this era of the channel in the reaction to The Cat in the Hat.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Something the group is actively aware of at times, the biggest example being in their commentary for Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and making fake sequels to 9/11 every times a toy plane crashes or a plane landing sound effect is played.
• Discredited Meme: Beans. It's to the point where they get visibly annoyed whenever beans show up in their commentaries.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Early in their video on Despicable Me 2, they make a joke about a next generation sequel starring Gru's son, Gru Junior. About a year later, Despicable Me 4 reveals Gru really did father a son with said name.
• Special Effects Failure: "We Found The Goofiest Cars On Tik-Tok" features a Tik-Toker and his CGI car animations, and the society points out that it looks dated by about 15 years or so.
• Squick: "My Friends Crusty Bedroom" shows the more disgusting parts of Brendan's old bedroom, and one of the things found in it was a container of slime with maggots living in it. Jude and Josiah are naturally disgusted by it.
  Brendan: It's a science project.
