• Replacement Scrappy: While Desti just about got away with being a Base-Breaking Character, especially after her Character Development during the Anime Arc, you'll simply find no one vouching for Team Killer Ink. All of Desti's snark and arrogance for absolutely none of the positives, Team Killer Ink are simply phoned in and lazy; random designs, scant personality outside of "humans suck"; it's to the point they lack names. For a standard blooper, it would be almost excusable; but the Final Boss of Meggy's character arc being a bunch of nobodies that Goggles and company would laugh off-stage is simply WRONG. Not helping is the fact that they're largely considered the weakest villains in the series. Their nature feels disposable, to never be seen again, and you will happily find swarms of fans giving them a savage beating for what they stand for.
• Special Effects Failure: If you pause Meggy attacking Team Killer Ink after their first match at just the right moment, you can see her head going through the Leader's body, almost like she's trying to possess her. In another moment, her hand clips through her tentacles.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Team Killer Ink hating humans and Inkopolis preventing humans from taking part in anything for "health reasons" is not only an Ass Pull of insane proportions just to get the plot moving, but not even necessary; in the wave of the Anime Arc, it would make more sense for Inklings to resent humans considering a large crowd of them (the Inkweaver creations, give or take some non-human creations) kidnapped and tortured thousands of them for reasons they never understood.
