- Retroactive Recognition: The first of two episodes to guest star Stuart Margolin (albeit as different characters in each), who'd soon become well-known for his role as Angel Martin on The Rockford Files.
- Values Dissonance:
- Setting Margaret up to be sexually assaulted is not one of Hawkeye and Trapper's finest moments in retrospect. Particularly when the show appears to play it for laughs.
- Also, one of Hawkeye's "insanity" gambits is telling Captain Shermann he's in love with Frank Burns. While homosexuality was still widely regarded as a form of mental illness in the 1950s (and in 1972, when this episode was made), it no longer is.
