YMMV / Love, Death & Robots: "Three Robots: Exit Strategies"

Go To

  • Anvilicious: Humans Are Bastards and The Elites Jump Ship can be fun... if they aren't handled with a subtlety of a raging bull in a China shop. The short instead hammers both of those tropes non-stop and in long, extended rants, killing the entire Black Comedy angle to it as a result.
  • Pandering to the Base: The original "Three Robots" was one of the most popular episodes and one of the most requested for a spin-off.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: For many viewers, the Anvilicious message of Humans Are Bastards and Humans Are Morons was so hammered-in, with the robots mocking the human race's greed and stupidity again and again without any redeeming traits or achievements to humanity's name being brought up that aren't subverted, that it came across as more holier-than-thou and misanthropic than the darkly comedic harsh-but-much-needed Green Aesop it was intended to be.
