• Broken Base: The "belt" inventory, where magazines for your weapons have to be placed manually before you can reload them. Some think its a nice bit of extra realism, others see it as being needless micromanagement and Misaimed "Realism".
• Fandom Rivalry: Oblivion Lost and Lost Alpha. Both are remakes of Shadow of Chernobyl, but their design philosophy differs. Both are based on the early builds of SoC, but Oblivion Lost is a strict recreation of the older versions of the game, essentially making it a demake. Lost Alpha on the other hand, introduced many controversial features based on the modder's interpretation of what the game would have been initially, such as a subplot involving The Illuminati and voice acted cutscenes. As a result, fans clash over which version is the true interpretation of the original design documents.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: The new and redesigned maps are visually fantastic.
