• Hilarious in Hindsight: Two of the opponent racers, Sid Vacant and Radium, are a punk rock dude with a magenta mohawk and a skull shirt and an anxious guy in a bright hazmat suit respectively. Series 4 of the LEGO Minifigures line would introduce two figures that match those descriptions, the Punk Rocker and the Hazmat Suit Guy.
• It's Easy, So It Sucks!: One of the biggest criticisms of the game is that steering is automated, so plenty of stages can be beaten just by holding the acceleration button and occasionally pressing the powerup button. This can be fixed by launching the game (_msr.exe) with the /FROMLAUNCHER /FREEFORM commandline parameters, which will turn the automatic steering off, but otherwise, there's no easy-to-access way to do so.
