YMMV / Killer Workout

• Fashion-Victim Villain: In the scene where Lt. Morgan, thinking Rhonda is the killer (correctly, as it turns out) but having no evidence to prove it, plans to just kill her and bury her away, Rhonda wears an absolutely gaudy dress that includes parachute pants. In Jason Brant's review of the film, his and his wife Erin's reaction upon seeing Rhonda says it all.
  Jason: MC Hammer! Yes! Or a court jester, either way. What in God's name is she wearing?!
• Narm: While the killings in the film admittedly have a very suspenseful build-up, the fact that the killer uses a giant safety pin as their weapon of choice subtracts a lot of the dread from them, especially when one killing shows it to be somehow strong enough to perforate a skull.
• Nightmare Fuel: The reveal that Rhonda is actually Valerie, the woman who got severly burned in a tanning bed accident at the start of the film, comes with showing a lot of very horrific burn scars (in fact, it appears that only her face and hands went unscathed), plus the reveal that her entire hair was burned off, requiring her to wear a wig. Then there's her reveal to Lt. Morgan when he tells her that he pierced together that she and Valerie are the same person and she flashes him, that her breasts were burned so badly that her nipples were apparently completely burned off.
