• Crosses the Line Twice: The story shows this off with its violence, strong language, and heavy themes.
  • Alice herself does this plenty of times in the story, controlling Pizza Steve's mind to do wicked things.
• Nightmare Fuel: Since this fanfic is in the horror genre, it has many scary scenes in it.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: It goes both ways in Lie.
  • Pizza Steve framed someone for his crimes, but all he wanted was to get cut some slack for all the trouble he's been through and it still didn't work.
  • Hunter Jones killed a lot of innocent people, perhaps even more than Pizza Steve and Alice, but the reason why is because he was mistreated by his mother and brother his entire life and he was even framed by Pizza Steve for the latter's crimes.
• The Woobie: Pizza Steve obviously, along with Riley and Hal.
  • Iron Woobie: Pizza Steve has been in so much damage with murders, depression, and suicide, that he definitely needs a hug.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: He, Alice and Hunter can qualify as this trope as well.
